Stay for the culture. **What You’ll Be Doing:** **The Role in Brief and Who You’ll Be Working With** Building on its recent track record, Evolent is looking for an executive leader to drive discontinuous innovation and growth. Your unique ‘Horizon 2’ mandate will be to drive the commercialization of meaningful service offerings and businesses that extend our market leadership in specialty care management. This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial ‘strategic builder’ to shape and launch new ventures that have a dramatic impact within a vibrant, mission-driven culture. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, you will regularly interact with the Leadership Team, in addition to colleagues from Product and Engineering, Clinical, Growth, Operations, and Account Management. You will lead myriad external discussions with existing and prospective clients and partners and cultivate a scrappy, high-performance team to execute this mandate. **What You’ll Be Doing** + Solidifying and prioritizing the most promising terrains to take advantage of disruptive and emerging opportunities, **with an initial focus on health system aligned partnerships and oncology navigation** + Articulating a compelling vision for how Evolent establishes distinctive value in those terrains and creates outsized, incremental benefits for clients and partners + Enfranchising multiple executive stakeholders and building strong business cases for prospects and internal constituents + Rolling up your sleeves to make it happen – market testing and refinement, driving alpha client sales, coordinating and communicating with other stakeholders to ensure successful market launch + Managing your portfolio to hit specific growth targets + Recruiting and managing a high-performance team + Promoting the value of innovation and strengthening internal capabilities **The Experience You’ll Need (Required)** + Bachelor’s Degree + Previous experience with payer/provider/healthcare sector + 7+ years of consulting, strategy, product or business development experience + Proven track record of new business building **Finishing Touches (Preferred)** + Strong drive to see concepts realized in nature by securing alpha customers + Intense curiosity and an abhorrence for ‘ivory tower’ product development + Ability and desire to see the forest (industry forces, emerging threats) and the trees (specific workflow needs of new user personas) + Unparalleled talent for rapid root cause analysis and creative problem-solving + Unique ability to simultaneously balance ‘bull’ and ‘bear’ perspectives on any new concept, recognizing that it will only happen if you push it, but that you should not fall in love with anything still unproven + Willingness to roll up sleeves and be scrappy + Experience managing and coaching more junior team members + Experience engaging others in consultative conversations, ability to be convincing when necessary, and ability to develop strong relationships through each interaction + Fluency with pro forma development and financial modeling + Evidence of strong collaboration and teamwork + Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral + Ability to independently manage against short-term and long-term goals + MBA or other advanced degree **To comply with HIPAA security standards (45 C.F.R. sec. 164.308 (a) (3)), identity verification may be required as part of the application process. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors.
