THE OPPORTUNITY
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Manager Trade Engagement for the Luxembourg market, could potentially based in our Belgium office. Our ambition is to drive exclusive advocacy among retailers and staff, empower them to exceed sell out targets through the right incentives, and support them in optimizing their business. This role also includes creating premium partner experiences, providing exclusive access to VIP events and strategic engagement moments that strengthen long term relationships.
The Trade Engagement Manager will manage the activation of indirect retail channels in Luxembourg to deliver best in class commercial performance, retailer satisfaction, and overall NPS. You will lead the development and deployment of multi category Trade Marketing and Engagement programs, while collaborating closely with Key Account, Field Sales, Marketing, Commercial Planning, and the wider Country Team.
Responsibilities of this role:
Strategic Leadership: Define and lead the Trade Engagement/Advocacy strategy for Luxembourg, ensuring strong alignment with commercial priorities and market ambitions, translate category and portfolio strategies into actionable retailer activation plans, and lead the infrastructure strategy for Luxembourg, setting priorities, defining visibility needs, and shaping long term plans. Ensure strategic coordination between infrastructure planning and overall trade segmentation roadmap.Trade Engagement/Advocacy & Education: Develop and deploy multi category engagement plans that inform, educate, and motivate trade partners, oversee the creation of online/offline trade materials (toolkits, digital assets, educational content, communication tools), and Implement staff engagement, training, incentive tools and content to elevate product knowledge and influence sell out. Use data and insights to continuously refine retailer engagement.Retail Infrastructure Strategy: Define the infrastructure roadmap for Luxembourg, including visibility priorities, investment allocation, and strategic deployment guidelines, ensure strong alignment between infrastructure strategy, brand guidelines, and commercial objectives, and oversee quality and consistency of infrastructure execution through coordination with the team member responsible for Infrastructure.Staff Engagement & Incentives: Design and manage staff incentive programs that strengthen commercial performance and motivate trade partners and staff, drive engagement and motivation specifically for B2B programs—including Lead Generation and IQOS Device Registrations—ensuring strong participation and consistent activation in the field, and track KPIs, analyze effectiveness, and recommend improvements to maximize impact.Premium Partner Experiences: Develop and deliver premium engagement experiences (VIP events, exclusive moments, retailer activations), and elevate the retailer journey with high quality touchpoints and consistent brand experience.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with Key Accounts, Field Sales, Marketing, Commercial Planning, Legal, EA, and external partners.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Have strong understanding of the Luxembourg indirect retail environment, ideally through front office or commercial experience.Bring experience in agency or third party management (a plus).Demonstrate a strong consumer and partner centric mindset, with the ability to tailor messages and tools based on retailer insights.Have excellent collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.Communicate fluently in English; French is a plus.
