We have an exciting new opportunity to join our digital team for a Manager – Technology Digital Data Governance. This position will support the Head of Technology Digital Performance and Governance, Chief Information and Digital Officer who is responsible for steering the Technology Digital function to optimise performance, manage risk, and ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to:
Champion a highly collaborative, transparent, and proactive Data Governance culture through effective stakeholder engagement with data owners, stewards, and custodians
Develop, implement, and maintain an effective enterprise-wide Data Governance Framework and establish and embed operational processes
Implement escalation and approval pathways for the use of sensitive and AI generated data
Enable and support the use of Data Governance Framework platforms tools including integrating governance requirements into new and existing services, platforms, and transformation initiatives
Develop training and awareness programs embedding the Data Governance Framework with a focus on embedding improvements to data quality and secure handling in day-to-day operations
Establish regular reports highlighting key trends, insights, and actionable recommendations on Data Governance
Develop presentations and dashboards for various Forums and Committees
Promote thought leadership championing data-driven insights and continuous improvement initiatives with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and their ethical implications on data use
Work effectively with stakeholders and stay abreast of Technology Digital Data Governance initiatives and best practices
About you:
You will be a strong communicator with proven experience delivering presentations, dashboards and Executive reports. You will also have:
8 + years’ experience in Data Governance across Digital and Technology in large complex organisations
A strong understanding of Data Governance Frameworks, metadata, data quality, critical data elements, master and reference data, ethical data, responsible AI, data classification
Demonstrated knowledge of Digital and Technology Data Legal/Regulatory, Governance, Risk, and Compliance requirements, industry frameworks, standards, and best practice
Demonstrated experience implementing Data Governance processes, systems, or tools requiring engagement and collaboration across multiple stakeholder groups
Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems, prioritise tasks, and meet timeframes
Proven experience in delivering presentations, dashboards, and Executive reports
Ability to influence and develop and maintain constructive relationships at all levels
Excellent written, verbal communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills
Strong Project Management and Change Management experience
Ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and assess potential impacts
