Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a Technical Consulting Manager to join our Global High Tech Division, supporting reverse osmosis, pretreatment or ultrapure water applications for the Microelectronics industry. Our team of Industry Technical Consultants plays a crucial role in supporting business growth, driving innovation, and transferring knowledge to ensure the success of our programs and clients’ operation.
As a Technical Consulting Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of technical consultants, troubleshooting and solving complex customer problems, training technical audiences, identifying gaps in water treatment applications, recommending operational efficiency improvements for our clients’ utility systems, and validating new innovative technologies. You will also support our technical Field Sales and Corporate Account Managers in making technical-related customer calls.

Manages a team of technical consultants, overseeing performance, field deployment, training and professional developmentSets expectations, guides and coaches direct reports for performance accountability, execution of knowledge transfer, learning development, and facilitate or support organizational initiativesLeads the vision and strategy for knowledge and learning initiatives; engages, motivates and inspires the knowledge community to actively participate and contributeStrategically articulate, merchandise, and quantify Total Value Delivered to build customer business case, expand revenue opportunities, and gain alignment for internal resources to deliver measurable business impactPartner with customers to understand their technology requirements, recommend solutions, and provide training and support to ensure proper use of implemented systems.Collaborate with field sales and corporate account teams to support strategic technical sales calls and presentations for specific industry, product or market applications.Lead problem solving efforts by utilizing various root cause analysis methodologies in a customer facing environmentIdentify and validate the feasibility of operational efficiency improvement projects for specific application or utility system; this can include HVAC systems, wastewater, ultrapure water systems, pretreatment and/or exhaustQuantify and communicate total cost of operations savings for efficiency improvement projects in a documented reportConduct, lead or support best practice gap analysis to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction; ensures BPGA consistency across technical teams and industriesCollaborate with R&D and Marketing on Innovation projects, from ideation to launch, by completing Phase Gate milestones such as refining value propositions, defining operational savings, creating technical documentation, educating internal and external stakeholders, writing case studies to document innovation successOrganize or lead innovation pilot applications, technical trials and market trials; summarize trial findings into case studies and marketing collateralResearch, identify, evaluate and define market and product application opportunities within a specific industry, for specific customers or groups of customersCreate, manage and sustain comprehensive knowledge resources tailored for both associates and customers. Organize and facilitate training for associates and customers, sharing your specialized knowledge to foster skill development and proficiency. Represents Ecolab in various industry consortia efforts as a technical expert for specific industry, product or market application; participates in Industry Conferences, round tables or webinars to promote Ecolab's value generation for customersProvides advanced business insight based on observations of customer needs that may result in new innovation, partnership or acquisition opportunitiesPosition Details:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, etc), Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc) or other technical fieldMinimum of 10+ years of experience in successful project implementation, engineering, technical sales, or field sales support experience in technical industries such as Microelectronics, Data Centers, Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, etcTechnical knowledge of semiconductor facilities operations, or other highly technical field such as pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing or data centersStrong technical understanding of pre-treatment or purification technologies, including by not limited to: softeners, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, minimum liquid discharge, zero liquid dischargeStrong communication and presentation skills for this customer facing roleProblem solving mindset and familiar with various root cause analysis methodsNaturally curious, accelerated speed of understanding, desire to teach and educate othersMust have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle RecordAbility to travel within geographic territory, ability to travel overnight for business, ability to travel globally for technical training, customer seminars and other business needsNo immigration sponsorship offered for this rolePreferred Qualifications:

The total Compensation range for this position is $153,600-$230,400 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms.
