This is more than a planning role—it's a chance to combine supply chain, demand forecasting, and supplier collaboration into a unique challenge.
As a Supply Chain Planning Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our global tire forecasting and demand management efforts, supporting products across Construction Industries (CI) and Resource Industries (RI). You’ll work closely with tire suppliers, purchasing teams, and demand management partners to keep our operations running smoothly and our customers satisfied.
What You Will Do (Job Duties):
Own the Forecast: Lead the monthly tire forecasting process across 7 product lines and 14 global facilities—ensuring supply aligns with demand and supplier agreements.Drive Supplier Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with global tire suppliers, ensuring timely shipments and proactive communication.Mitigate Risk: Lead forward-looking (2–3 year) tire supply risk assessments and partner with purchasing to strengthen supplier contracts.Support Global Operations: Help meet inventory targets and manage aftermarket tire supplier relationships.Lead Change: Oversee phase-in/phase-out projects in collaboration with global facilities and tire engineering teams.Enhance Insights: Develop and improve analytics to support smarter forecasting and risk management.What You Have (Basic Qualifications):
Project Administration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, purchasing, marketing, and global suppliers. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential to drive alignment and results.Forecast and Supplier Evaluations: Creative problem-solver who can identify and mitigate supply risks—even with limited data. Confident making decisions in uncertain environments and skilled at preventing disruptions before they occur.Effectiveness Measurement: Comfortable navigating high-pressure situations across teams. Self-motivated and organized, with a track record of enforcing process discipline and managing competing priorities effectively.Supply Chain Management: Deep knowledge of supply chain operations, including material requirements planning, demand management, S&OP, and/or purchasing.Top Candidates Will Have:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, engineering or similar directly related curriculum.Hands-on experience with demand management and forecasting tools.Proficiency in data visualization and analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, Power BI).Experience managing global supply chains and supplier relationships.Additional Info:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
