Manager, Strategic Value Analysis is divided into two focus areas: The supply chain leader will evaluate and introduce-new products and innovative new technology across BJC. This area guides the organization to balance the competing interests of innovation and financial stewardship, collaborating with interdependent departments and interacting with both medical staff and manufacturers. The second focus area will act as leader of our onsite Product Utilization Manager team, driving cost and variation reduction by influencing our surgeons and proceduralists that control the vast majority of our supply spend.
Manages new product introduction process for all FDA-regulated devices in BJC. Ensures process adherence for requests to be reviewed and adjudicated by BJC New Product Review Board.
Manages procedural cost reduction efforts through cost transparency program and onsite relationship management with surgeons & proceduralists. Pursues consistency in practice among BJC procedural areas for supply usage through effective communication with administrative leadership and the development of decision-making processes and mechanisms, including the Perioperative Oversight Council and other hospital-based venues. Procedural area supply expense totals $380M annually across 6 functional areas.
Manages procedural supply expense through process controls and planning tools like Doctor Preference Cards and Custom Procedure, bringing policies and practices to apply data-driven best practices across the organization.
Supports key supply chain decision-making venues for new equipment and major supply category commitments, ensuring medical staff input informs supply chain strategy.
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
