Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Strategy Manager 1 to join our Defense Systems Sector Strategy team. The qualified applicant will become an integral part of a team which provides corporate development, strategic planning and portfolio management expertise to our Sector and Division leadership teams. This position will be located in McLean, Virginia.

Financial modeling and analytics support for business development pipeline reviews, business management annual operating plan analysis, and investment planning (organic and inorganic)Managing sector processes for internal investmentDevelopment of internal investment business case modelsSupport the inorganic growth strategy including M&A evaluations and executionBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business discipline and 7 years of combined experience with defense/aerospace business and/or government services; Or Masters degree with 5 years of combines experience with defense/aerospace business and/ or government services.Prior experience in strategic planning, corporate development, investment banking or management consultingExperience conducting strategic planning and financial analysisAbility to effectively interface at executive levelsAbility to obtain and maintain security clearance up to Top SecretAbility to travel up to 10%Preferred Qualifications:
Masters’s degree in a business or finance related topicExperience in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and equity investmentsStrong analytic skills to develop insights to inform key strategic investment decisionsExperience in the aerospace and defense industryUnderstanding of government cost accounting, financial practices, and standardsPrimary Level Salary Range: $118,000.00 - $177,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
