We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead our high-performing development team based in Hyderabad. This role is ideal for a technology leader with a strong foundation in software development, cloud architecture, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end software delivery, from requirement gathering to deployment, while ensuring alignment with business goals and technical excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance applications Provide hands-on technical guidance across frontend, API, and database layers Champion best practices in software engineering, including code quality, testing, and CI/CD Leverage Microsoft Azure services for cloud-native application development and deployment Project & Delivery Management Own the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for multiple projects Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project scope and timelines Track progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions Drive Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Team & People Management Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through coaching and performance management Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement Conduct regular 1:1s, career development planning, and technical upskilling initiatives Stakeholder Engagement & Communication Act as a key liaison between engineering and business teams Translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans Prepare and present technical documentation, project updates, and architecture reviews to leadership Ensure clear and proactive communication across all levels of the organization Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). 10+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role Solid hands-on experience in: Frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular, or similar) API development (RESTful services, GraphQL) Database systems (SQL/NoSQL) Experience with version control systems like Git and repository management practices Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud platform (App Services, Azure Functions, DevOps, etc.) Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure Boards) Proven track record in application architecture and system design Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate) Experience working in a global or distributed team environment
