We are looking for a Manager Social & Digital Intelligence, who will be responsible for leading global real-time monitoring and early detection of reputational risks and crisis signals across social media, digital platforms, and news outlets. It leverages AI-powered listening tools and machine learning to analyze vast data sets, identify sentiment shifts, and predict potential crisis scenarios. The position manages vendor relationships to optimize AI-driven monitoring capabilities, produces dynamic dashboards and executive-ready intelligence reports, and integrates insights into scenario planning and crisis simulations. Additionally, it collaborates cross-functionally to ensure rapid intelligence sharing and provides strategic foresight by spotting emerging societal, cultural, and regulatory trends that could impact reputation.
Key Accountabilities:
Real-Time Monitoring & Early Detection
Lead global communications team monitoring of social media, digital platforms, news outlets, to identify emerging issues, reputational risks, and crisis signals.
Utilize AI-powered listening tools and anomaly detection systems to surface early warning signs and sentiment shifts
AI-Driven Intelligence Gathering & Analysis
Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to analyze large volumes of digital data, uncover patterns, and predict potential crisis scenarios
Tool & Vendor Management
Manage relationships with social listening/media intelligence vendors, ensuring platforms are configured to maximize AI capabilities for crisis detection and reporting
Evaluate and recommend emerging AI technologies that enhance monitoring precision, speed, and contextual relevance.
Reporting & Visualization
Produce dynamic, AI-enhanced dashboards and intelligence reports regularly (and during crises), including sentiment trends, volume spikes, influencer activity, and narrative evolution. Deliver executive-ready visualizations and summaries that support rapid decision-making and strategic communications
Scenario Planning & Simulations
Integrate AI-generated insights into crisis simulations to model how digital narratives may evolve under different scenarios
Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner with global and regional communications teams and legal, to ensure intelligence is shared swiftly
Trendspotting & Strategic Foresight
Use AI tools to identify long-term reputational risks and emerging societal, cultural, or regulatory trends. Provide regular briefings to the Global Communications Leadership Team on the evolving digital risk landscape and predictive insights
We’re looking for someone with:
Core Skills
Social media & Digital Monitoring Expertise: Strong understanding of social listening, media intelligence, and digital analytics.
AI & Data Analytics Proficiency: Ability to leverage AI-powered tools and machine learning for trend analysis, anomaly detection, and predictive insights.
Crisis Detection & Risk Assessment: Skilled in identifying early warning signals and assessing reputational risks in real time.
Dashboard & Visualization Skills: Experience creating executive-ready reports and dynamic dashboards using visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Vendor & Tool Management: Capability to manage relationships with technology vendors and optimize platform configurations.
Strategic Foresight & Trendspotting: Ability to identify emerging societal, cultural, and regulatory trends impacting reputation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong communication and coordination skills to work with global communications, PR, legal, and customer service teams.
Scenario Planning: Familiarity with integrating intelligence into crisis simulations and preparedness exercises.
Other Skills
Education: Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Data Analytics, Marketing, or related fields.
Experience: 5–8+ years in social listening, digital analytics, or intelligence roles, ideally in a global corporate or agency setting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in social listening platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker), AI-driven analytics tools, and data visualization software.
Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.
Global Perspective: Experience monitoring and analyzing trends across multiple markets and cultural contexts.
Crisis Management Exposure: Prior involvement in reputational risk monitoring or crisis response is highly desirable
