About the role:
Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations - Integrated Training Center team as a Manager Simulator Engineering Airbus to be based in Doha, Qatar.
As a Manager Simulator Engineering Airbus, you will responsible for planning and managing Qatar Airways Simulator Maintenance Day to day operations. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for fleet of training equipment, ensuring that maintenance engineers deliver quick resolution to defects raised by training crew and competent authorities. You will also be responsible to establish and maintain the KPI to help ITC measure performance and establish steps and procedures, also ensure regulatory compliance to achieve and maintain FSTD certification with international (EASA) and local governing authorities (QCAA).
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
Develop and implement continuous improvement of maintenance delivery against demonstrated level of current performance.
Oversee maintenance of training systems to ensure delivery of planned maintenance and routine in inspections to meet mandatory performance, safety and compliance standards.
Maintain standards to ensure all relevant scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and defect rectification is time bound.
Oversee quality control effort to maintain certification of FSTD equipment by adhering to regulatory body requirements for device fidelity with approved data, operational availability of the equipment, and configuration control of the training devices with respect to the aircraft fleet.
Support auditing activities by internal bodies (Group Safety & Security), external regulatory authorities (EASA, QCAA), as well as audits by internal and external customers.
Ensure that all warranty claims are dealt with efficiently and without delay.
Responsible to Ensure FSTD Inventory for Critical parts and high-usage consumables is maintained while adhering to corporate policy for procurement process and financial accountability.
Maintenance of system performance and operational readiness in the form of routine inspections, developing inventory control procedures, managing critical spares list and managing obsolence.
Responsible for maintaining safety and security standards through management and supervision of support personnel in order to ensure that all work meets deadlines and standards for quality and safety.
