Function Details:

It begins with a Card Member using an American Express Card at one of our millions of proprietary Merchants around the world, then processing that transaction, and getting the merchant paid, is up to us. The Acquirer Capability (ACD) team is at the heart of the proprietary transaction process.  We power billions of transactions leading to merchants being paid and continuing to welcome American Express cardmembers and their cards. We are seeking an experienced leader who has rich quality assurance expertise to be part of a team that will drive complex test strategy development, tooling and execution while leading a dynamic team.  This leader will play an role in several of the top strategic priorities.  You must have a passion for achieving the highest levels of quality,  collaborating with an amazing team and enjoying yourself along the journey.  This position suits someone who wastes no time forming working relationships, quickly adds value by introducing the best testing practices and techniques and being a change agent in a team that is driving a multi-year modernization program. Key Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the planning and execution of end to end testing, remediation, performance management, software implementation support and post implementation validation for major business initiatives in accordance with all audit and legal requirements. This position is also responsible for ensuring a cohesive relationship with various internal and external business and technical partners to optimize test planning and offer defect free resultsKey functions of the role include:Develop test strategies, plans and artifacts with internal and external partners, as appropriateBuild and use a deep understanding of the products and technology assets being tested to ensure efficient and optimal test coverageBuild, review and/or execute test cases at various quality assurance levels: Systems Integration, Partner Integration, Regression, and Performance where appropriate in partnership with TRAMWork with software, infrastructure and software engineers to deliver target code qualityWork across Product Owners and Release Train Engineers to review test scenarios, validate test results and maintain documentation Design quality metrics to be gathered, collated and reported to management. Identify patterns and opportunities from the metrics to drive innovation and improvementOffer guidance and mentorship to engineering teams including driving improvements in automation and testing in a Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration (CD/CI) environmentSeek opportunities to embrace innovative testing technologies and techniquesIdentify opportunities to adopt innovative testing techniques

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Proven strategic thinker with experience in defining and executing global priorities. Excellent relationship and influence management skills to establish collaborative partnerships across the EnterpriseStrong communication and presentation skills allowing for clear and appropriate messaging across multiple levels/audiencesProblem solver with solid analytical skillsAbility to influence without direct authority to gain alignmentStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills, including the ability to develop relationships with leaders while appropriately influencing without direct authorityProven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change, defining priorities for key products/projects that affect the broad direction of the BusinessFlexible and willing to participate and collaborate with colleagues in different time zonesSelf-starter able to adapt in a fast paced ever changing environmentUnderstanding of the Agile approach to project management and software development Knowledge of Rally, one of the most comprehensive Agile project management tools a plus

Knowledge of merchant transaction processing capabilitiesUnderstanding of GMS business drivers, merchant needs, and market trends
