ROLE SUMMARY:
The Publications Operations Manager is a key member of the Medical Platform Services team. The scope of responsibilities will include several focus areas, each leading important aspects of Publications operations. This role will manage vendor operations for the financial module systems ensuring that support system access and architecture remain robust, secure, and well-structured.
This position serves on the Integrated Medical Operations Services (iMOS) Team and will partner with the Publications Management Team, Pfizer cross-functional colleagues including Medical/Clinical Affairs, Statistics, Global Health & Value, Corporate Compliance, and publication vendors, in conjunction with all key Publications operational activities. The Manager provides key services in the oversight and management Publication Operations and must bring a level of rigor and consistency in providing high-level service while ensuring compliance with the established procedures.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The management of Publications Management Systems (PUBSMS) includes:
Manage PUBMS plans and annual plansOversee publication budget configuration process and partners with PMT for ad-hoc changesManage vendor onboarding and PUBSMS access for agency usersProvide system training for internal/external stakeholders as needed.Ensure PUB01 compliance by completing watch list checks and related forms, in relation to determining if external manuscript authors are included on any debarment watch listsOversee invoice management, including reconciliation of records in PUBMS and confirmation of receipt of deliverables prior to invoice payments. Use expertise and judgement to conduct the data quality review and process control to ensure compliance with the Publications SOP (PUB01)Implement remediations to mitigate audit and compliance findingsLiaise with iMOS and PMT leadership to ensure the accuracy of business rules and processes are up to date with current system configurationOther tactical responsibilities the of Publications financial management include:
Vendor management related to Purchase Orders (PO) in Ariba BODContract management related to Statement of Work in Contract Lifecycle Management systemTimely processing and payment of all monthly invoicesManagement of PMT Share Point to ensure appropriate filing of operations activities (i.e. contracts, quarterly accrual sheets)Respond to ad hoc requests for clarification and/or additional information regarding Publication POs, invoice payments, and actuals to date.QUALIFICATIONS:

The role is part of a global team and will on occasion need to attend meetings outside of usual business hours
