In this role, you will act as the HR Business Partner for the Global Business Solutions (GBS) Hub in Manila, supporting and/or leading end-to-end HR processes and managing future growth plans. You will partner with GBS Manila Site Leadership Team on strategic organizational plans anticipating organizational capability needs, ensuring sustainable talent pipeline, embedding the desired culture and reinforcing the right ways of working to maximize business results
What your day looks like
BUSINES AND PEOPLE STRATEGY
• Collaborate with business leaders on the development of GBS site/function talent strategy. Contextualize and adapt global P&C strategy to the evolving needs of employees and business requirements from GBS functions to drive/sustain success through people levers.
• Anticipate future business demands/opportunities with a P&C aspect, frame people issues as business challenges and deploy prioritized solutions that impact business success
ORGANIZATION EFFECTIVENESS & CHANGE MANAGEMENT
• Deploy Operating Model for the assigned GBS function to achieve the business strategy effectively & efficiently
• Act as Change Enabler by providing proactive support to successfully plan and implement business transformations or other strategic organizational change programs
• Provide coaching support to GBS Site/Function Leadership team regarding change management tools and approaches
LEADERSHIP & TEAM COACHING
• Coach and advise leaders on key strategic people related matters, offering expertise and thought leadership
• Lead, coach, develop P&C team to understand business opportunities and act as business leader to define how P&C can add value and deliver on business strategic priorities
WORKFORCE PLANNING AND TALENT MANAGEMENT
• Captures requirements from GBS Site/Function Leadership Team on resource requirements and provides input to the Workforce Plan, focusing also on a mid to long term perspective, and develops the plans to meet these requirements, leveraging on the relevant P&C teams
• Develop and deploy site/function talent strategy to address current and future talent expectations and gaps
• Advise line managers to identify, develop, and retain their talents
• Support deployment of the GBS site/function leadership capability building
CULTURE AND PEOPLE ENGAGEMENT
• Build a performance culture rewarding achievement of challenging targets and address poor performance and fit with rigor and empathy
• Create an environment of learning and development within category/function, which enables employees to build critical business capabilities and supports their lifetime employability
• Advise and support GBS Site/Function Leadership team in bringing employee insights (collected via employee listening activities) into actions to increase site/function employee engagement index
• Act as DEI champion, enabling GBS Site/Function to advance in the attraction, engagement, development, and retention of a diverse workforce
LABOR RELATIONS, COMPLIANCE AND EXCELLENCE
• Act as owner of P&C policies for the assigned GBS legal entities, ensuring alignment with country regulatory framework and PMI policies
• Ensures productive employee/labor relations to meet company goals on short-mid and long term and contributes to the Labor & Employee Relations strategy. Supports line managers in handling conflicts or difficult Employee Relations situations
• Role model in P&C Excellence (labor costs monitoring, adherence to the budget, policies and guidelines) contributing to the overall P&C Operating Model effectiveness
Who we’re looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or any related field
• At least 6 years relevant experience as P&C business partner in a matrixed organization, ideally in a mature GBS environment (including exposure to Finance, P&C, IT, other functions)
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Good understanding of core P&C areas of intervention (Organization Effectiveness, Talent Management, Learning and Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Total Rewards, Employee Experience)
• Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analysis
• Strong communication skills; excellent spoken and written English, any additional languages is a plus
• Project management and execution skills along with coaching and consulting skill
