Manager-Patient Access
**General Summary** Assists with the planning and organization of Access functions. Assists with developing strategic direction, instituting system initiatives, monitoring departmental operations and growth, providing oversight to supervisors, and coordinating with various levels of management across the enterprise. **Duties and Responsibilities** **Essential Functions:** + Manages Patient Access including routine meetings, communications, and efficient and effective departmental operations. + Collaborates with and serves as a liaison between multiple departments and Patient Access to ensure the arrival, registration, and scheduling guidelines meet appropriate standards, and all organizational requirements related to insurance are met and maintained. + Oversees the monitoring of registration and authorization securement on behalf of WellSpan and our patients. + Promotes quality and safety of our patients per established protocols that ensure timeliness of care and patient satisfaction in support of the mission and goals of the System. + Develops new workflows, policies and procedures and process improvement opportunities. + Implements controls to ensure appropriate customer service and workforce management, as well as human, financial and material resources to ensure a high quality, cost effective and responsive health care service to all customers. + Directly manages supervisors and leads to ensure proper process, quality and performance adherence among all department employees. + Develops budget including long-term and short-term performance targets and financial goals. + Utilizes lean daily management to increase employee engagement and increase departmental efficiency. + Monitors monthly budget vs. actual financial performance. + Develops emerging leaders, trains and mentors' new leaders within Access. + Develops annual plans to meet blue book objectives. + Ensures organizational employment engagement goals are met. **Common Expectations:** + Selects trains/orients, assigns staff, evaluates performance, prepares work schedules and initiates or makes recommendations for personnel actions. + Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. + Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops. + Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. **Qualifications** **Minimum Education:** + Associates Degree Required + Bachelors Degree Preferred **Work Experience:** + 3 years Including supervisory experience Required **Benefits Offered:** Comprehensive health benefits Flexible spending and health savings accounts Retirement savings plan Paid time off (PTO) Short-term disability Education assistance Financial education and support, including DailyPay Wellness and Wellbeing programs Caregiver support via Wellthy Childcare referral service via Wellthy **Quality of Life** Founded in 1741, the city of York is considered by many as the first capital of the United States.
