Our mission in Store Solutions is “We strive for a business partner and product-centric organization, that lives E2E responsibility by maximizing team empowerment”.  In our division, we provide a competitive advantage for the group by collecting and processing data from roundabout 35.000 connected devices from all DHL retail stores across Germany. To enable the DHL retail stores to provide postal services and sell products, we create and maintain different software products ranging from stationary cashbox systems to mobile solutions. As our work has a direct impact on the end-customer experience in DHL retail stores, the high quality of our products means everything to us.

Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring its smooth operation. As Manager of Development Team, in this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and managing teams responsible for development and support.

Like our company, our teams are global. We have technical teams located in Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Prague, Darmstadt and Bonn, each with their individual mix of people coming from different nations and working together in a hybrid work model. To help us collaborate better, we use tools like Teams, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps or Miro. Most importantly, we are a team that supports each other, even in tough times, with every member striving to make things better every day.


Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:

We plan to set up new teams to further strengthen our India division. Together with your team, located mostly in Germany and different parts of India, you will be part of the team developing a new Android-based mobile application to sell products and postal services in German DHL retail stores. The current desktop application (C# using .NET MAUI) runs on Windows only. We are striving to create one multi-platform application that operates on both Android mobile devices and Windows desktop devices.

As a Team Manager, having strong leadership qualities, project management and strong Microsoft technical background is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of software development processes will also be an integral part of this role. In your daily work in our team, your main focus will be:

Supporting your team by sharing knowledge, with the aim to improve collaboration and team efficiency Proactively driving continuous improvement and review processes in the team Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely updates on issue resolution and proactively addressing concerns.

You are a technology aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of software development processes and methodologies. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English is a requirement for the position.

Your skills and experience:

Very good communication skills in English High adaptability Positive can-do attitude Strong background in software engineering Analytical mindset and structured way of working Experience in agile working / SCRUM in large multi-national teams for at least five years Experience in working as a SCRUM Master or software project manager in a multinational and multicultural setting Ability to enable other team members to collaborate productively Sound knowledge of software development processes C# development experience German Language – proficiency B2
