Apply today to our Manager of Med-Surg Observation Unit and be a part of the innovation of ideas. **Job Summary and Qualifications** + You will participate in development of the plan of patient care services for the responsible clinical area(s) to meet the Mission and Vision of the Hospital and ensure unit compliance with all regulatory agencies and the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act + You will perform data collection and analysis for decision-making, seek opportunities to improve care or system process, and incorporate performance improvement principles and data + You will assist in development of staffing standards for clinical area(s) of responsibility, ensure daily staffing standards meet productivity target, and coach charge nurses and other unit personnel on effective staffing patterns + You will serve as a positive role model for staff management, problem solving and professional standards of nursing., represent the departments through involvement on interdepartmental and interdisciplinary committees or work groups to effect change and problem solve within the organization, and represent Patient Care Services and the medical center on state, community and professional committees **What qualifications you will need:** + Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing required + BSN required; Masters Degree in Nursing or related health field required (or actively in progress) + Current Nevada license to practice nursing required + Active and current BLS, ACLS + Certification in Nursing Administration (CNA) preferred + Current acute clinical knowledge required; minimum of 1 year management experience required + Recent acute clinical experience (3 years); preferably in area of clinical area assigned Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center (https://sunrisehospital.com) provides Las Vegas and the Southwest region with high-quality, advanced healthcare services.
