As a Manager of Cloud Infrastructure supporting TSS, you will be trusted to identify, evaluate, architect and recommend best of breed technology approaches to solve the business and customer problems. This role will interface directly with the customers and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver solutions, identify and deliver incremental revenue opportunities. This role entails overseeing a growing Cloud Engineering team. Customers include DHS, HHS and DOW among many others.

In this role, a typical day will include the responsibilities below:

Day-to-day supervision of the Cloud Infrastructure teamManage deployment of endpoints into our Managed Shared Services cloud environment using Terraform scripts and native Cloud Service Provider toolsManage the migration of customer data onto cloud endpointsManage large on-prem and cloud environments using Infrastructure as CodeProvide expert knowledge while working across teams, and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during deploymentBuild and maintain technical relationships with others in the organization and technology providers by participating in cloud technology discussions and aligning solutions with client needsProvide expert communication, ensuring that managers, team members, stakeholders within the organization, and clients are kept informed of relevant trends and projectsResearch new or alternative technologies, document findings, conduct pilots and evaluate multiple vendors, make recommendations, and develop business cases to justify the investmentManage escalations. Make assessments, recommendations or provide solutions to resolve issuesMentor, motivate and train staff, ensuring they are up to speed on critical processes and technologies related to the organizations’ goals and soft skills needed to succeedDevelop timelines and manage projectsContribute to budgeting for and understand the financial impact of cloud technology decisionsWrite functional requirements/specifications documentsGuide the selection, implementation and deployment processes for new cloud technology rolloutsWork with our Strategy team and other GDIT organizations to find and pursue new workManage the hiring process for additional personnel.  Assess talent and identify gapsAssist with creating business development documents for future contract bids

Required Qualifications:

BA/BS plus 5+ years of related experience. (Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area is preferred)3+ years managing cloud engineersDemonstrated and practical leadership experienceDemonstrated ability to manage vendor relationshipsProficiency with Terraform, Python, or AnsibleCloud migration experience (AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI)Windows or Linux enterprise experienceExcellent listening and interpersonal skills with exceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and requirementsSupervision of large teams and projects as a motivated leader and hands-on team playerAbility to obtain and maintain a DoW clearance
