PURPOSE
The Manager of Carrier Compliance has core responsibility to support all functions within the GlobalTranz and Worldwide Express truckload carrier compliance offerings. This role utilizes industry knowledge, experience, and data analytics to train and support operations in providing best-in-class logistics solutions. This role manages and advises on risk mitigation on carrier selection and provides thorough feedback to internal and external clients. This role defines and documents standard operating procedures and monitors adherence to internal carrier qualification standards for the organization.  
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
    Manage all aspects of carrier compliance processes and procedures, including day-to-day operations, team member supervision, and administration of company’s internal carrier compliance policy  
    Lead and advise on risk mitigation on carrier selection and provide thorough feedback to various parties including company employees and agents  
     
    Monitor industry standards, trends and practices to identify developments in logistics planning and execution to ensure best-in-class logistics solutions for organization  
    Collaborate with all necessary parties including outside motor carrier monitoring service to maintain truckload carrier contracts, insurance certificates, other relevant documents, and day-to-day relations 
    Work with outside motor carrier monitoring service to implement company business rules; work with necessary parties to ensure that carrier data is updated accurately in company software systems, including data sent via API and FTP message 
    Define and monitor adherence to carrier qualification standards and communicate applicable updates to network 
    Define and document standard operating procedures, conduct internal training to all staff members and continuously identify efficiency opportunities 
    Work directly with branch leaders to support night and weekend coverage 
    Monitor and approve payroll and conduct annual performance reviews for all team members 
    Monitor changes in market characteristics and provide input and recommendations with regard to company’s carrier compliance policy

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
    Bachelor’s Degree required; focus in a relevant filed such as business, supply chain management or management preferred 
    In lieu of degree, combination of Education and years of experience will be considered 
    3 to 5 years of industry and management experience, ideally within a 3PL arena 
QUALIFICATIONS:
    Superior understanding with carrier compliance regulations and industry trends  
    Strong analytical and risk mitigation techniques 
    Extremely organized and very detailed oriented  
    Maintain absolute accuracy and attention to detail 
    Strong business communication and technical writing skills 
    Be self-motivated, proactive and driven by growth 
    Ability to travel to industry events and vendor partners as necessary
