The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for leading, coaching, and optimizing a team of Business Development Specialists (BDSs) to prospect, qualify, and generate high-quality B2B sales leads. The BDM will build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to support City Wide franchisees, their sales teams, and the Enterprise Sales team. This role demands a hands-on outbound team leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a strong background in B2B enterprise sales, outbound strategies, and team development. Collaboration with Sales and Marketing is critical to ensure alignment and maximize lead generation efforts.
This position may be onsite in the Lenexa, KS Support Center or may be fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, mentor, and support the Business Development Specialists, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving daily activity goals and appointment targets for assigned franchisees.
· Collaborate closely with Marketing to align campaign strategies, messaging, and lead qualification criteria.
· Coach, motivate, and develop BDSs to consistently exceed pipeline goals through best practices in personalized outreach via email, LinkedIn, and cold calling. Conduct regular training on outbound prospecting, objection handling, and positioning.
· Develop tailored outbound prospecting playbooks aligned with specific service offerings and campaigns.
· Manage and continuously improve technology tools used by the team, including CRM, sales engagement platforms, intent data, AI tools, and call technologies to maximize efficiency.
· Analyze call center and campaign data using advanced reporting tools; generate performance reports and leverage analytics to implement continuous improvements. Monitor key performance metrics such as conversion rates, email engagement, call effectiveness, and pipeline attribution, providing actionable feedback.
· Build and nurture relationships with franchisees to support lead generation efforts and align strategies.
· Manage budget, sales forecasts, and revenue tracking to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
