What You'll Do Every Day:

Strategic Leadership & Empowerment: Guide, mentor, and empower our dedicated team of Registered Nurses, cultivating an environment where every individual can excel and contribute their best.Operational Acumen: Oversee all facets of clinical operations within the surgical unit, ensuring seamless workflows, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to the highest standards of care.Patient & Team Advocacy: Be a compassionate voice for our patients, advocating for their well-being, while simultaneously championing the needs and professional development of your nursing staff.Performance & Growth Catalyst: Drive professional growth through targeted development initiatives, regular feedback, and opportunities for skill enhancement, ultimately achieving and exceeding unit goals.Dynamic Staffing & Resource Management: Strategically plan and optimize nursing staff schedules, leveraging historical data and forward-thinking analysis to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient resource allocation.Performance & Quality Oversight: Consistently measure and evaluate employee performance, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.

Required

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Of Science Nursing or equivalent education and experience, upon hire andMinimum of three (3) years of nursing experience andone (1) year of leadership experience.

Licensure and Certification:

Registered Nurse: AZBasic Life Support - American Heart Association Required

With future plans to expand, St. Joseph’s Westgate Medical Center, a 60,000 square foot hospital, includes a 12-bed full-service emergency department, a 24-bed inpatient unit, 2 operating rooms, 2 procedural rooms, dedicated space for diagnostic services, an ambulance bay and helipad. The campus features some of the most innovative uses of materials to promote patient safety, patient satisfaction and medical efficiency.

We are extremely proud to be a nationally recognized center for quality quaternary care, medical education and research. St. Joseph's includes the internationally renowned Barrow Neurological Institute, Norton Thoracic Institute, Cancer Center at St. Joseph's, Ivy Brain Tumor Center, and St. Joseph's Level I Trauma Center (which is verified by the American College of Surgeons). The hospital is also a respected center for high-risk obstetrics, neuro-rehabilitation, orthopedics, and other medical services.
