Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Manager Mission Assurance Level 1 to support on-site at our Rocket Center, West Virginia location.

Rocket Center, WV is located along the North Branch Potomac River in Mineral County, West Virginia and is home to the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), a government installation operated by Northrop Grumman. NGDS’s Missile Products Division is seeking a manager for Mission Assurance Engineering at our Allegany Ballistics Lab (ABL) location in Rocket Center, WV. ABL develops and manufactures a broad range of products, primarily for defense, with a focus on tactical solid rocket propulsion. This technical management position oversees a team Mission Assurance Engineers.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Manage the daily operations of Mission Assurance EngineersProvide leadership and development support to team membersAnalyze data and drive process improvementsReview and/or develop inspection plans based upon statistical methodsUse Lean tools such as risk assessment, 8D, DFMEA and/or PFMEABe a liaison with DCMAAssure established policies and procedures are being followedManage group staffing to meet workload

Skills Needed:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a teamExcellent communication skillsAbility to make sound technical decisionsAttention to detailsAbility to multi-taskAbility to prioritize and manage time effectively

Position Requirements:

BS or higher degree in STEMMust be a US citizenAt least 6 years of Relevant Engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

Experience Preferred:

Able to use custom manufacturing software (i.e. Solumina) to maintain quality records, traceability, etc.Lean Six Sigma training and certification

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,900.00 - $152,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
