Manager - Lab, B&I

Purpose of Position
- To manage, develop and deliver Lab Testing services in the respective domain
- The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including
the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy

Major Responsibilities
- To develop new testing as per relevant IS standards
- To perform the duties of Lab Manager in day-to-day operations of the laboratory as per ISO
17025-2005.
- Supervising the teams to carry out Laboratory Testing as per relevant IS standards.
- Maintain the documentation required as per NABL criteria.
- Plan, implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility in cooperation
with his superior and manage activities in case of deviations
- Build up client relations with major accounts / potentials.
- Organise dedicated PR and Marketing events foreseen in budget.
- Ensure implementation of QMS in the area of responsibility corporate standards (e.g. Code
of Ethics, BV Values, corporate identity, policies, procedures)

 Criteria for Performance Evaluation (KPIs)
-Professional development - Upgradation to newer sector code qualification as applicable, Improvement in competency (e.g tutor, 2P, 3P, etc), eLearning of CER topics as applicable
-Customer feedback rating not less than 4.0 on a scale of 1 to 5
-No customer complaint on behavioural issues & Avoid any conflict of interest situation
-Adherence to environmental and safety policies of our organization
-100% Compliance of CER MS KPIs (PCM requirements)
-Improve Performance on Soft grading Metrics
-Timely Defect Resolution
-Timely closure of NCRs
-Timely Reporting / Timeliness in marking of examination papers
-Timely submission of SF10
-Timely and cost effective travel plans
-Utilization Rate (80%)
-Identifying the Sales opportunity

Qualification and Experience
-Graduates with Diploma or Degree in engineering (Civil) with min.15+ years of experience having 5 years of relevant experience in testing of construction materials. (Post Graduates will be preferred)
-Work experience in NABL Accredited Labs preferred
