Role purpose:
The purpose of the role is to enable the growth of the Central Operations teams and contribute to investigative and intelligence led strategies addressing key illicit trade issues in support of Regions and Markets.
The role involves managing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, requiring strong coordination and collaboration. The candidate must be able to manage large volumes of information from different sources and be competent at summarizing complex findings and tailoring the output to suit different audiences. It remains critical that the candidate can be objective and understand both specificities in individual cases as well as the wider context of illicit trade operations.
Additionally, risk assessment and critical thinking are core components of the role, that will enable the ITP function to detect and analyse illicit trade incidents at a global level. Mapping changing modus operandi and compiling comprehensive intelligence packages for use with external stakeholders is critical to influencing change and supporting illicit trade disruption. In certain cases, a policy or regulatory approach is required, and therefore strengthening public-private partnerships to implement supply chain controls and protect consumers remains fundamental.
Key accountabilities:
Centre of Expertise (CoE): Broaden the existing Central Operations offering, through additional value-added activity across all of our core product portfolios. Build excellent relationships with different business functions to enable increased efficiency and coordination across the wider business. Ultimately, with a view to supporting the ITP Regional and Market teams, and other CoEs within the Illicit Trade Prevention function to ensure timely and appropriate responses or information packs in support of issues raised.Intelligence: generate, through investigative and non-investigative (e.g., insights, open source, etc.) tools, intelligence on flows of illicit CCs and SFPs, criminal networks, connecting the dots through investigative case & seizure follow-up. Combined with other investigative projects and enforcement cases at regional and market level, develop key enforcement and policy engagement packages with a view to reducing the existing gaps that allow illicit traders to operate.Law enforcement & policy makers: engage and coordinate ITP’s engagement with national, regional and international law enforcement / national security organizations, incl. IGOs and NGOs, with a view to building Public-Private Partnerships and promoting better regulatory frameworks to close gaps that illicit traders exploit.Regional & market support: support priority markets in crafting / executing investigation & enforcement strategy to effectively contribute to regions’ and markets’ anti-illicit trade plans aiming at safeguarding PMI’s reputation and protecting PMI brands, business, and the integrity of all product categories from illicit globally.Toolbox: develop capability tools for internal and external stakeholders based on Central ITP’s core competencies. Build reporting tools that are valuable to key internal stakeholders on Central ITP Operations capability to assist and support strategic direction of Illicit Trade Prevention initiatives.

Experience required
5-8 years+ in the field of brand protection or securityExperience working in a / working with the regulated sector namely Pharmaceutical, Tobacco, Alcohol or similarProject management experience
