Job DescriptionWe are looking for an International Tax Manager to join our global tax team at ContiTech.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all tax-related matters for designated foreign subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, and driving tax optimization strategies. You will work closely with management, external tax consultants, and fiscal authorities to provide guidance and lead key tax projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tax support for designated foreign countries, ensuring compliance with local tax regulationsMonitor and analyze international tax law changes, assess their impact on the group, and communicate key updates to internal stakeholdersReview and assist with the Tax Reporting of subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate registrationParticipate in tax projects such as liquidations, mergers, tax audits, and restructuringsReview group structures to ensure alignment with corporate goals, and assist in necessary restructuringMaintain regular contact with colleagues in foreign subsidiaries, providing ongoing support for business operations and projectsSupport tax audits by German and foreign tax authorities, ensuring compliance and resolution of issuesAct as the primary tax contact for foreign tax authorities and coordinate with international colleagues on tax mattersAnalyze tax consequences of reorganizations and provide guidance on potential impactsCollaborate with external tax advisors to address complex tax questions and issuesPrepare and submit applications for tax certificates of residence for German group companies, liaising with the responsible German tax authorityQualificationsUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA, CTA, or equivalent preferred).Several years of experience in international tax, preferably within a global organization Strong knowledge of international tax regulations, transfer pricing, and tax complianceExperience in handling complex tax projects, including M&A, restructurings, and tax auditsProven experience in working with tax authorities and external advisors, managing tax matters in multiple jurisdictionsProficiency in tax software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suiteFluency in German and English (written and spoken) requiredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal teams and external partnersAbility to work in a fast-paced, international environment and manage multiple prioritiesInternational travel required (approx. 10 %)Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
