C.H. Robinson is hiring a Manager Insurance! In this role, you will be responsible for the general, operational, financial, and administrative management of all cargo and legal liability claims worldwide. You will provide leadership to a team of Claims Representatives by maintaining your own workload of claims while directing the workflow of the team. Responsibilities:

Review and analyze all incoming cargo claims and assign to the appropriate team memberEnsure all claims are handled and processed in line with the internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as well as with the requirements of CH Robinson’s insurersOversee the handling of complex claim files to ensure proper handlingPossess a working knowledge of the following:Carriage of Goods by Sea Act (COGSA)Hague / Hagues Visby RulesWarsaw / Montreal Protocol Rules49 U.S. Code § 14706 (Carmack)Develop learning tools for team members that drive continuous claim improvement and policy understanding.Branch training on marine cargo insurance / transport law / marine liability when neededSet team and individual objectives and prioritiesCoach, support, and manage the team and individuals to meet and exceed objectivesCommunicate and manage the team to adhere to corporate and branch policiesPrepare for and lead team meetingsAdditional responsibilities and projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED EquivalentMinimum of 3 years supervisory or management experienceMinimum of 4 years Transit or Cargo Claims handling experience

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityExperience with customs bondsSolid understanding of claims process and industry operationsStrong analytical skills for evaluating large amounts of information and drawing appropriate conclusionsAble to communicate at multiple levels, to varies audiences, using multiple mediumsGenerate new ideas to improve performance, translating these ideas into practical solutionsTime management and organizational skillsExcellent written & verbal communication skills

Compensation Range

$97,400.00 - $162,200.00

The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location.  Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
