The Manager, Inpatient Pharmacy – Neurology oversees day-to-day operations of the Neuro and Critical Care Pharmacy located within the new Cleveland Clinic Neurology building on Main Campus. This role supports the Neuro and Critical Care teams and fills a key leadership position following a recent internal promotion. The manager provides operational oversight of pharmacy services, including supervision of pharmacy technicians and select clinical pharmacists, while collaborating closely with physicians, pharmacists, hospital administration and organizational leadership to support high-quality patient care within the Neurology building.

A caregiver in this role will work 8:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday on-site at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. On-call weekends occur about 4-5 times per year.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Identify and meet patient needs utilizing continuous process improvement techniques. Identify and propose practical solutions to technical, professional, personnel or procedural problems affecting daily workflow. Ensure the department is adequately staffed with properly trained personnel. Establish work assignments and schedules. Participate in the development of operational and clinical program activities. Promote and develop the clinical activities of pharmacy caregivers through counseling, training and teaching. Train and instruct caregivers as to their duties. Coordinate orientation and training of new caregivers in job functions and responsibilities. Monitor financials and other pertinent statistics. Assist with evaluations of financial performance. Maintain records of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming drugs received in accordance with state and federal laws. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire Completion of a health-system Pharmacy Administration or Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency OR four years of relevant pharmacy experience, including one year of leadership experience 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

Pharmacy Degree with current state licensure MS, MBS, PharmD and/or residency 

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands include periods of standing and walking.Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions and communication via telephone.May be required to lift and transport up to ten pounds.Requires normal or corrected vision.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
