Manager II - Operations

Role Proficiency:

Ensure successful execution and completion of medium to large complex business projects as important for the organization.

Outcomes:

Design and execute medium to large complex business projects Work independently with cross functional teams to gather and analyse information and recommend solutions Advise the management team on specific business initiatives Connect and build partner relations for the mutual benefit of both the organization Connect with clients and be an advocate of UST brand Review management reports and make specific suggestions recommendations actions based on the report Guide team on implementing solutions for identified problems

Project/ Schedule Management:

Plan and manage medium to large complex business projects as defined within UST Identify risks and mitigation strategies and implement the same to manage simple
small projects/ modules Identify options to Fast track the schedule and plan to implement the same Estimate the work
plan and track the activities closely and report the progress on a regular basis


Team Management:

Responsible for sourcing

Job Summary: Delivery Manager with Infrastructure Experience to oversee and drive IT infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, deep expertise in IT infrastructure (cloud, network, security, data centers), and a proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure deliveries. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: Project & Delivery Management: • Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timely execution and quality delivery. • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, operations) to align project goals with business needs. • Manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution across infrastructure projects. • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and regulatory requirements. Infrastructure Management & Optimization: • Oversee the implementation of infrastructure solutions, including cloud, data centers, networking, and security. • Work with architects and engineers to design scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure solutions. • Drive automation and DevOps best practices to improve efficiency and deployment speed. • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Stakeholder & Vendor Management: • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope. • Collaborate with third-party vendors, ensuring contractual obligations are met. • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business leadership to drive project success. • Communicate project updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to executives and stakeholders. People & Performance Management: • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, project managers, and other IT professionals. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure team growth and efficiency. ________________________________________ Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Expertise: • Strong background in IT infrastructure (cloud, networking, security, storage, virtualization, servers). • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Knowledge of networking concepts (firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, SD-WAN). • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes). • Understanding of ITIL, security frameworks, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR). Project & Leadership Skills: • Proven experience managing multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously. • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models. • Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships effectively. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF. • Experience in global IT operations and multi-cloud/hybrid environments. • Previous experience working in banking, healthcare, or telecom industries (preferred but not required).
