**Minimum qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
+ 10 years of experience in technical sourcing and supply chain management.
+ Experience in people management.

+ MBA or Master's degree in a technical or engineering field.

Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.
Our team is responsible for all aspects of supplier development and ongoing performance management to Google's technology and business needs. You will manage projects, driving collaboration to develop and execute Google's sourcing strategy for our CPU and OEM Server and OEM Storage hardware across multiple internal organizations, in support of our infrastructure deployment that powers Google's services.
In this role, you will be a key part of an end-to-end Supply Chain team that drives continuous improvements and ensures operational excellence in support of Google's growth. You are a strong team player who exhibits humility, is eager to learn and who has a strong work ethic. You are ambitious and ready to exert influence at the executive levels of the organization. You are a Commodity Manager and leader with a strong executive presence and a great communicator who collaborates effectively across multiple functions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. **Responsibilities:**
+ Execute complex and large-scale supplier or commodity strategy for long-term products or programs.
+ Manage and have responsibility for an increasing number of vendors, suppliers, technologies, product components, or projects of high value and complexity.
+ Negotiate all types of agreements with all types of vendors or suppliers within one or multiple domains, with minimum supervision.
