Manager Forecast Modeling

Description

The Manager Forecast Modeling role within the Commercial Strategy and Sales Enablement team is responsible for driving the development of financial and other models in Excel, creating internal-facing content, collaborating both internal to Commercial Strategy and Sales Enablement and externally with the various Syneos Health Commercial business units to collect and collate relevant materials, and supporting special projects. While expected to be competent at all requirements, Managers are typically aligned to a core function (e.g., modeling, content creation, project management) and will support both Commercial Strategy and Sales Enablement workstreams.  JOB RESPONSIBILITESWork closely with the (Associate) Director or above to execute on both regular and ad hoc initiatives across Commercial and Customer Strategy.While most workstreams will be driven by the (Associate) Director or above, there will be select workstreams to which the Manager is assigned to lead, including setting a timeline, creating consistent communications, facilitating meetings, ensuring multiple stakeholders are meeting multiple deadlines, and completing deliverables (e.g., PPT decks, Excel models). Take detailed discussion notes and capture follow-up action items during meetings – both internal and external to Commercial and Customer Strategy. In conjunction with the (Associate) Director, follow-up with key stakeholders to ensure action items are completed.Design working session approaches, develop content, and facilitate working sessions as needed. Consolidate content into high-quality, leadership-facing materials for review by the (Associate) Director or above, meeting all deadlines. Build and/or manage Excel models to support any or all the following workstreams: targeting, segmentation, commercial strategy, etc.Storyboard content and develop leadership-facing content independently for review by the (Associate) Director or above.Provide ad-hoc support for special projects, including cross-department workstreams, while independently managing deadlines and competing commitments.  Communicate detailed, appropriate direction to international support staff; effectively manage upward and amongst peers.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (please indicate if “preferred” or “required”) RequiredBachelor’s Degree 3-4 years relevant working experienceManagement consulting or services company experience (e.g., Consulting, Agency, CRO, CCO) High proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)Project management experience, including development and maintenance of detailed project plans within a PPM application (e.g., Microsoft Project, SmartSheets)Ability to build and interpret Excel models Slide design and story boardingHighly effective verbal and written communication, presentation and analytical skills Strong self-awareness and emotional intelligence to effectively navigate a matrixed environment, including Commercial LeadershipAbility to handle ambiguity and multiple concurrent assignments on short timelinesPerforms well under pressure, tight deadlinesManages competing priorities and instructionsClear ability to explore and implement new technologies (e.g., AI tools), experience doing so, preferredAbility to travel as needed (approximately 10-25%)  PreferredMaster’s Degree (MBA, MPH, MHA) Positions in pharmaceutical industry boutique consulting firms or life science alignment in big consulting organization (Deloitte, Accenture, IBM, etc.) Advanced Excel (modeling)  

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $146k to $178k. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
