Position Purpose
The Manager of Field Merchandising Insights & Analytics leads a team of analysts responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive incremental sales growth. This role balances operational leadership-overseeing ad hoc reporting and streamlining data workflows-with strategic vision, identifying market trends and expansion opportunities. Acting as a key partner to the Store Support Center (SSC) and Field Leaders, the Manager is responsible for closing data gaps, ensuring reporting accuracy, and connecting field behaviors to bottom-line results across the organization.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Analyze complex Field Merchandising data to identify emerging trends and expansion opportunities that directly contribute to incremental sales growth
Lead and mentor a team of analysts to deliver high-quality ad hoc reporting, delegating tasks effectively to ensure data accuracy and timely support for the Field Merchandising organization
Develop and maintain a comprehensive reporting strategy that connects field behaviors to business results, simplifying complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders
Partner cross-functionally to streamline existing reporting and fill data gaps by building new, integrated reporting tools and automated solutions
Manage the full lifecycle of dashboards and reports, proactively soliciting feedback from Field and SSC partners to ensure delivery remains relevant, accurate, and aligned with evolving business needs
Responsible for appropriate selection, terminations, performance appraisal, and professional development of support team (Business Analysts)

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Reporting & Technology and supervises direct reports. It is analytical, consultative, and insight-focused, impacting enterprise merchandising, leadership decisions, and the customer experience at The Home Depot.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Physical Job Requirements - Most of the time is spent sitting in a
comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within The Home Depot or a large, big-box retail environment.Experience with field execution tools, store audit platforms, or merchandising systems.MBA or advanced degree.Background in continuous improvement or process optimization.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Data Visualization Principles: Knowledge of data tools (Tableau, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Excel) and how to structure data and reporting for clarity and impact
Retail/Merchandising Analytics: Understanding of Merchandising metrics used in a Retail Environment and how they drive sales
Data Storytelling: Ability to translate technical findings into a compelling business case for SSC and Field Leaders through written and verbal communication
Project Management: Skilled in organizing workflow to balance long-term reporting projects with urgent ad hoc requests
Action Oriented: A proactive approach to identifying and filling data gaps without waiting for direction
Collaborative Mindset: Naturally seeks feedback from Field and SSC partners to ensure tools are meeting user needs
