This dynamic role oversees the strategic direction and daily operations of a comprehensive, system-wide employee health and wellness program. Serving as a vital liaison, trusted resource, and subject-matter expert, the position supports a culture of well-being, safety, and regulatory compliance across the organization. The manager collaborates with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure best practices in employee health are followed, while also navigating and upholding all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. This role is essential in fostering a thriving, healthy workforce and creating a safe, supportive workplace environment.
Annual Salary Range: $93,496.00 - $137,904.00
Qualifications
Education: Requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare-related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work. Experience: Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Requires prior supervisory/management experience, preferably within a healthcare environment. Certification/Licensure: Requires BLS issued by the American Heart Association. Must have a valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice. Prefer advanced certification as an Occupational Health Nurse, such as a COHN, issued by the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale. Must be approachable, people-oriented, and a good listener. Must be a change agent able to develop, implement, and maintain policies and processes. Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker. Must exhibit high professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm, combined with the ability to build relationships with business and key stakeholders. Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills along with the ability to utilize the appropriate management techniques to plan, organize, control, and coordinate activities. Must have knowledge of Workers’ Compensation claims management, including AZ Workers’ Compensation Regulations and OSHA standards. Requires expertise in communicable diseases and other regulations impacting employee health. Requires ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
