As the EHS Manager, you lead the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of all Environment, Health & Safety programs at the Ballabgarh factory. You ensure full compliance with local, regional, and global standards, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety and sustainability across the plant. You serve as a key partner to leadership, guiding the business toward operational excellence while maintaining regulatory integrity. **Key Responsibilities** + You develop and execute the EHS strategy and business plan aligned with Goodyear’s global standards and local regulations. + You maintain accurate EHS records and monitor progress against established KPIs and objectives. + You collaborate with plant leadership to define solutions that support business strategy and budget goals. + You lead and develop the EHS team, ensuring they possess the right skills and competencies to meet operational needs. + You ensure full compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety laws, including Goodyear’s internal requirements. + You prepare and submit executive-level reports to meet local, regional, and global reporting standards. + You participate in setting EHS goals and receive direct work instructions from the Manufacturing Director. + You work closely with the Regional EHS Manager to leverage technical support and best practices. + You manage team performance, including Safety Officers and Environmental Engineers, against defined targets. + You oversee plant-wide EHS programs, including housekeeping, emergency planning, and audits. + You stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure timely communication with the Regional EHS Manager. + You conduct EHS training for all plant associates and ensure annual inspections of special equipment with government agencies. + You drive cost-effective EHS initiatives and maintain strong public relations with the local community. + You take ownership of your own development and demonstrate self-management in all aspects of the role. **Skills & Competencies** + You have a strong understanding of U.S./European EHS regulations and standards. + You are experienced in preparing government submissions and engaging with regulatory bodies and senior leadership. + You bring excellent leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills. + You communicate effectively in both written and spoken English. + You understand IT systems relevant to EHS and are comfortable with data-driven reporting. **Experience Required:** + 15+ years in EHS compliance and program management within a large corporation or consulting firm, preferably in a similar industry Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
