**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Director of Project Management for West Europe & North Africa, the Manager, Design plays a key role in overseeing design aspects of managed, franchised, and company-owned hotel projects. This position ensures quality control, brand compliance, and operational excellence across all design phases..
**Scope**
The Manager, Design supports design, analysis, and evaluation from feasibility to the opening of hotels, and is responsible for projects of varying scope and complexity.
+ Languages: Fluency in English and French (spoken, written, and read) is required. Proficiency in a North African language (Moroccan, Tunisian, or Arabic) is a strong asset.
+ **Travel** : Up to 40% business travel is expected.
**Expected Contributions**
**Design and Project Management**
Lead design services and manage scheduled deliverables across assigned projects.
Oversee design consultants, including proposal reviews, contract management, and invoicing, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Contribute to the documentation, administration, and continuous improvement of design delivery processes.
Ensure building products meet brand specifications and standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of brand design guidelines and evolving design trends.
Provide regional expertise and input on brand initiatives in collaboration with CLS and Global Design Strategies.
Conduct design reviews and feasibility assessments in partnership with Development, Feasibility, and CLS teams.
Coordinate Criteria/Facilities programs for assigned projects.
Support pipeline projects by collaborating closely with the feasibility team.
Represent and promote brand design in negotiations with external stakeholders.
Manage project communications with owners, franchisees, and internal teams.
Assist in developing and implementing efficient rollout processes for prototype-based brands.
**Owner Relations**
+ Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with owners and franchisees to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
**Candidate Profile – Key Talents and Experience Desired**
**Required:**
+ Minimum 3 years of experience, preferably in hospitality.
+ High proficiency in English and French; a North African language (Moroccan, Tunisian, or Arabic) is preferred.

**Education and Professional Certification:**
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
An architectural license is preferred.
