As a Corporate Communications Manager you will be responsible for developing and accomplishing strategic internal and external communications that strengthen Philip Morris International’s corporate reputation. The role supports PMI’s transformation toward a smoke-free future. It delivers credible, engaging, and data-informed communications across traditional and digital channels. The focus is on sustainability, innovation, and collaborator trust.
Your ‘day to day’:
Strategic & Corporate Communications
Developing and implementing coordinated corporate communications strategies aligned with PMI’s or equivalent experience goals, brand positioning, and transformation agenda.Develop consistent corporate narratives across earned, owned, and shared media.Supporting executive leadership with central messaging, speeches, opinion pieces, and thought-leadership content.
Media Relations & Brand Communication
Leading proactive and reactive media relations, including press releases, media statements, interviews, and briefings.Ensuring strong and consistent corporate brand representation across media coverage and external communications.Supervising media sentiment, reputational risks, and emerging issues, providing strategic recommendations to leadership.
Social Media & Digital Presence
Actively contributing to and managing the company's digital communication channels, ensuring alignment with brand tone, corporate positioning, and compliance requirements.Identifying trends, opportunities, and risks in the online and social networking landscape.Use insights from social listening tools and Google Trends to inform content planning, messaging, and issue anticipation.
Employer Brand Communications
Support and strengthen PMI’s employer brand through targeted internal and external communications.
Collaborating with HR and Talent teams on employer branding campaigns, employee storytelling, and culture-related content.Ensuring consistent messaging about PMI’s purpose, values, and transformation across recruitment and corporate channels.
Sustainability & ESG Communications
Developing and delivering communications supporting PMI’s sustainability, ESG, and responsible business initiatives.Translating complex sustainability, environmental, and social topics into clear, credible, and engaging narratives.Supporting reporting, campaigns, and collaborator engagement related to sustainability commitments and performance.
Content, SEO & Channel Optimization
Oversee the creation of high-quality content for corporate websites, intranet, social media, and other digital platforms.
Applying SEO protocols to corporate content to improve visibility, discoverability, and engagement.Tracking performance metrics, analyze audience behavior, and continuously optimize content based on insights and data.
Internal Communications & Change Management
Design and deliver internal communications that engage employees and support organizational change.
Ensuring alignment and consistency between messages shared within the organization and those communicated outside it.Supporting leadership communications during transformation initiatives.Issues & Crisis Communications
Supporting issues management and crisis communications planning and execution.Preparing Q&As, holding statements, and briefing materials for sensitive or high-risk topics.Working closely with legal, regulatory, and senior partners during critical situations.
Who we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.7+ years of experience in corporate communications, brand communications, or public relations, ideally within a multinational or regulated environment.Proven experience managing media relations, digital and social media communications, and employer branding initiatives.Experience communicating sustainability, ESG, or corporate responsibility topics is highly desirable.
