Job Summary
The Manager of Core Operations oversees the operational success of the Youth Advocate Program (YAP), ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, quality control, and evaluation. This position manages a staff of Supervisors and Youth Advocate III team members. The Manager of Core Operations is the key external face of the YAP in the community with public school personnel, other nonprofit agencies, parents, and students while supporting the Regional Director in achieving performance objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Oversee the operational success of the Youth Advocate Program (YAP) ensuring seamless team management and development, program delivery, quality control, and evaluation to deepen alignment and ensure successful implementation of the current Core Services Model.Cultivate new and manage existing relationships with public school personnel, such as principals, assistant principals, custodians, security staff, teachers, special education instructors and counselors, to ensure sufficient space and resources for HWSC staff and access to services for YAP students.Create and maintain network with other nonprofit agencies to connect YAP students with additional services, where necessary.Develop and implement strategies to ensure students receive an optimal array of services and to maximize synergies among HWSC program areas, including academics, employment, post-secondary, senior satellite, and Beyond the Bell.Develop and implement systems for determining student enrollment levels and ensure HWSC has maximized its enrollment capacity.Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling tight oversight of individual and organization performance standards.Facilitate increased collaboration among YA Supervisors to guide them toward being a cohesive, high-performing peer group with constructive team dynamics.Transport youth participants (in personal cars and agency vans) safely and efficiently as required.Assist and support the Manager of Core Programming (MoCP) as needed.While this job description covers many aspects of the role, employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned.LEADERSHIP DUTIES

Bachelor’s degree in public education, employment training, youth development, emerging workforce development or a related field required. Minimum 5 years of related experience required.Minimum 3 years of supervisory and leadership experience required.Special Requirements
Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

$65,000 Minimum pay rate, $95,000 Maximum pay rate, based on experience.
