The Transactions Contracting Team within the Legal Operations and Commercial Law division of GEICO’s Law Department is looking for a dynamic experienced Manager - Contract Management. 

The selected candidate must have a proven history of independently redlining and negotiating various types of commercial contracts.  This individual should be able to handle a high volume of assignments in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and track progress to ensure deadlines are met. This position requires the ability to coordinate, communicate and collaborate within the team and with all levels of internal stakeholders (i.e., business customers, legal, security risk assessment teams, finance, and budgeting) and third party suppliers.  This position will also require analytical skills and the ability to identify process improvements and a proven history of making positive impacts and change.  This position requires the ability to think independently and manage a large volume of high-visibility and deadline-driven projects under pressure, make decisions, and navigate gray areas in a changing environment.

Candidate Qualifications:

4-year degree.

Demonstrated ownership of customer portfolio

Demonstrated leadership of/within team

Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to business processes.

Demonstrated ability to identify and redline contract terms that increase risk and reduce value for an organization.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors to more effectively position GEICO to receive the best value proposals for the corporation

Drafts and reviews purchase and leasing contracts and service statements of work for equipment and service contracts

Experience with ensuring customer requirements are met during the negotiation process.

Experience assuming responsibility and independent ownership of the workload, assignments and results for a portfolio of work.

Excellent communication and time management skills; able to communicate contract issues to diverse audiences.

Experience communicating with executive leadership (C-suite) and responding to their inquiries and requests.

Required qualifications

JD and 5 years experience contract review/negotiation with sole decision making authority or 10 years experience contract review/negotiation with sole decision making authority

Desired Qualifications:
• Master’s in Finance, Business Administration, IT Major or Juris Doctor

• PMP certification
• Firm understanding of software licensing metrics
• Experience with a large software vendor
• Experience with contract management systems
• Experience with Cloud computing

• Experience supporting internal customers in a corporate environment

Hybrid position 3 days a week in office.

Annual Salary

$109,675.00 - $172,200.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
