MANAGER COMMUNITY AFFAIRS
The Manager of Community Affairs is responsible for building trusted community relationships, advancing community health priorities, and strengthening our community impact across the region. The role oversees outreach, partnerships, events, and strategic projects that position Baylor Scott & White Health to empower communities to live well. The manager also oversees daily operations, strategy execution, and alignment with the systemwide Community Investment strategy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is about COMMUNITY so we need a person who will integrate into our target communities. It's a hybrid role, so most days are working from your own environment or office. There will be expectations to travel across DFW regularly for events, initiatives and relationship building. Occasionally will need to travel to Central Texas (Temple, Waco, Austin) for Dept meetings and gathering. Evening community events will be required from time to time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
• Leads the implementation of programs and strategic priorities that support the BSW Systemwide Community Investment Strategy.
• Builds and maintains trusted relationships with BSW facility leadership, community organizations, civic leaders, school districts, and other key partners.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external audiences.
• Oversees outreach activities, partnerships, events, sponsorship activations, and strategic projects that strengthen BSW’s community impact.
• Serves as a connector across BSW by linking internal stakeholders with appropriate community partners, resources, and opportunities.
• Guides the team in assessing partner alignment, engagement value, and strategic fit with community health priorities.
• Ensures documentation, reporting, and data‑tracking processes meet team needs and support effective community engagement.
• Prepares clear, executive‑ready presentations and materials that communicate Community Affairs priorities and impact with strong communications and marketing awareness.
• Applies strong relationship‑building skills to represent BSW effectively in community and internal settings.
