Summary
Assists the Director in managing staff and implementing and managing policies, projects, and budgets in order to maintain and improve the Center/Program's operations and standard of quality.
Job DutiesSchedules and supervises a team of direct reports including full-time and part- time assistant and associate teachers, and/or childcare workers. Performs evaluations of direct reports and contributes to evaluations of head teachers. Assists in all administrative functions including the schedule, budget, enrollment of children, and maintenance of staff and children’s files, and the facilities and equipment. Ensures that the program is in compliance with all applicable state, local, federal, and LVHN regulations. Ensures staff compliance following all health and safety procedures and completion of LVHN TLC modules. Maintains the Center's licensing requirements through DHS and accreditation status in the various quality Initiatives, including monthly fire safety and emergency operation drills in compliance with DPW and accreditation agencies, when applicable. Develops program/center-wide activities that consider each family's interests, skills, and age ranges affording families the opportunity to meet one another when applicable. Manages the daily operations of the Center in the absence of the Director. Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in early childhood education, child development/family studies, early childhood special education, or elementary education with a concentration of 30 credit-bearing hours in early childhood education. 5 years experience in early childhood care and education field and 2 years experience in administration, leadership, and management. Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation and Keystone STARS standards and requirements. BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire First Aid Certificate - American Heart Association Upon Hire
