**Position:** **Manager Chemical** **Reporting to:** **Quality Control Manager** **Division:** **Established Pharmaceutical Division** **- Operation** **Location:** **Karachi -Korangi Plant** **Job Summary:** Provide support to Quality Control Manager, Validation team, Stability Section, Packaging Materials and Finnish Goods for all activities taking place in QC and technical problem resolution. **Major Responsibilities:** + Assist Quality Control Manager to make sure the QC activities do not result in delay or non-availability of product, delay in introduction of new products, delay in implementation of CIP + To ensure that all Physical, Chemical, and instrumental testing are being performed as per authorized procedures for raw material and in process products + Review of daily planning of QC Lab and support for EHS activities + Disposition of Raw Material, Packaging Materials within agreed upon lead time and review of analytical data before final disposition + Support Quality Control Manager / QC Staff for technical problem resolution in QC Lab + To ensure timely completion of Non-Volume Related Activities (Training Schedule, Reference Standards, annual Calibration/Maintenance Schedule, LIR preparation / ER raises and activities) + Plan and implement certification and reorientation schedule for all analysts and maintain the record + To ensure that one lot of raw materials which are included in list of skip testing must be tested (full specification) at least once a year or as required by procedure **Education/Knowledge & Experience:** + Science Graduate/Master; preferably Pharm D + 5-6 years’ experience in the same capacity + Proficient in MS Office + Teamwork and problem-solving skills An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
