Manager Chaplain Services
Under the guidance and direction of the VP of Behavioral Health Services, or Senior Director of Care Management, the Manager Chaplain Services administers, supervises, and coordinates the overall services of both staff and volunteer chaplains of the chaplaincy department.   Annual Salary Range: $68,307.20 - $100,755.20   Qualifications Education: Requires a BA in Pastoral Theology and successful completion of a reputable hospital Chaplain’s training course.  Preferably Healthcare Chaplains Ministry Association.   Prefer an MDIV in Pastoral Theology or Counseling. Experience: Requires prior experience as a chaplain in a hospital or hospice setting.  Prefer three to five (3-5) years’ administrative experience. Certification/Licensure: Prefer Healthcare Chaplains Ministry Association (HCMA) denominational endorsement and Clergy Ordination.  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have a solid standing within his or her denomination, as evidenced by ecclesiastical endorsement.  Demonstrable value placed on the importance of working as a team both within and outside the department.  Ability to be assertive yet flexible.  Ability to exercise the authority of the position while knowing how to delegate.  Must be in good physical and emotional health.  Ability and stamina to minister to patients/residents/clients with varying physical and mental dysfunctions.  Flexibility in work hours, programs, and services.  Ability and desire to work with clergy and volunteers of varying faith backgrounds.  Experience working as part of a team and possessing good communication skills.
