Purpose of the role:
Lead the strategic development of commercial and marketing activities across the border regions (Germany and Austria), with the objective of maximizing market share across multiple categories (standard cigarettes and smoke free products)
This role is pivotal in driving the company’s smoke-free vision by leveraging deep consumer insights and executing innovative commercial strategies directly in the field.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Planning
Define and drive a multi-category strategy for border markets based on data analysis, consumer insights, and market dynamicsAlign long-term company vision with actionable commercial plansIdentify and mitigate risks while unlocking growth opportunities across the portfolioLeading team of Senior Team Leaders and Executives2. Commercial Development & Execution Excellence
Lead the creation of high-impact marketing and trade marketing tools, ensuring top-tier quality, relevance, and effectivenessOversee consistency and excellence in communication, product visibility, consumer activations, and retail campaignStrong performance management and driving results within channel3. Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal) and external partners (agencies, suppliers) to deliver business objectives.Lead cross-functional projects with a focus on agility, innovation, and operational efficiencNegotiation with key customers4. Financial Management & Resource Optimization
Strategically manage the border market budget, including planning, allocation, and cost controlEnsure optimal return on investment across all commercial initiatives
Candidate Profile
High School/University degree in Business, Marketing, or related fieldMinimum 6 years of experience in FMCG, preferably in an international environment, with a proven track record in commercial developmentFluent in Czech/Slovak and English;Strong strategic, analytical, and presentation skillsAdvanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with data tools is a plusActive driver (category B)
