Customer SolutionsIn this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the strategy of one of the top 10 largest banks in North America by working on our North American Partnerships team. Your responsibilities will include identifying appropriate investment targets, driving business relationships, and developing business cases and investment analysis. You’ll work closely with our product management, sales, and investment teams to execute our strategic roadmap.
It will be helpful if you have experience developing business goals and key performance metrics to support initiative/program monitoring and enable insights, have worked in the venture capital space, and/or have experience with large financial institutions. You’ll be successful if you can build strong cross-group coordination and logistical support for new investments and can work across BMO to deliver results in alignment with overall group goals.
Responsibilities:
Perform research and analysis of new markets, technologies, and business models. Leverage an unyielding curiosity to help our team keep pace with future trends. Assist and support existing portfolio companies by acting as a true partner to, and advocate for, partners as they navigate the entrepreneurial journey.Seek out new investment opportunities. and establish our presence in the market and expand our ecosystem among venture capitalists, service providers, subject matter experts, and others. Engage with the entrepreneurial community. Be an authentic voice for BMO’s mission and vision and build meaningful, lasting relationships.Evaluate potential investment opportunities. Uncover what makes our lines of business special and how we can accelerate our product roadmaps and strategic investments.Execute investments, including deal structuring and financial modeling. Understand and communicate the financial impact and underlying incentives of the deals we participate in.Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned businesses/groups for assigned initiative and product strategy by acting as an advisor and subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies including ongoing monitoring and reporting. Ensures alignment between various stakeholders Ensures alignment between stakeholders.Employs systems (e.g. customized exception reports, tracking reports, etc.) to manage information.Qualifications:
Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Combination of Financial Services and Technology exposure; solid network within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.Strong networking in the areas of financial services, wealth management and venture capital and in-depth knowledge of BMO’s channels technology platforms and services.Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.Key Skills:

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
