Position Summary
The Division Manager of Asset Protection is responsible to ensure division and region needs are met through staffing and development of their respective Asset Protection team. The incumbent works closely with the Division Vice President to ensure programs that positively impact profit, shrink, cash loss, physical security and safety are executed effectively and provide required results.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for overall associate development and mentoring
• Trusted, reliable Division expert in Physical Security, Law Enforcement, Investigations, Fraud, Social Engineering, Associate Safety, De-escalation, Crisis Response/Management related to weather, Crime, Safety, Social Media, & Food Safety
• Responsible for establishing annual Asset Protection Business Plan to address shrink, cash loss, physical security, and associate safety (to include budgeting)
• Responsible for driving business initiatives to improve cash performance
• Responsible for driving business initiatives to improve shrink
• Overt participation and collaboration with Division EC Team and Associate Relations to foster positive relationships
• Regularly evaluate existing store security equipment and oversee installation for new stores, remodels and acquisitions
• Oversee the case management process and review reports for accuracy
• Establish contacts and foster good working relationships with law enforcement agencies and the courts
• Maintain industry-standard interviewing and interrogation skills and professional development of self and team
• Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices related to criminal charges and their applicability to internal and external cases
• Support Director of Asset Protection with projects and initiatives from inception to implementation
Basic Qualifications
• Retail Operations
• Wicklander-Zulawski training
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (to include public speaking)
• Must be comfortable collaborating with business partners across brands, law enforcement and the courts
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Forensic Interviewer - CFI designation
• Loss Prevention Certified
• Bachelor's Degree
Education
• 5+ years (Asset Protection or leadership of field team)
Retail management experience
Skills/ Abilities/Competencies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office365
• Public speaking and presentation
• Critical & analytical thinking
• Interviews and investigations (to include all means of evidence gathering)
• De-escalation
• Crisis Management
