The Finance Manager is responsible for all accounting and financial requirements for the Hotel in an environment of tight control. The role will develop the quality of the finance function to be an integral part of the 4D structure within the hotel, provide financial advice and expertise to the General Manager and Hotel Team, with the aim of maximizing value. Strong experience in dealing with Owner and Tax Officer etc. is relevant for this role.

What will I be doing?
Key ResponsibilitiesTax Compliance & FilingsEnsure timely preparation and filing of GST / VAT, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, and other statutory returns applicable to the hotel.
Monitor compliance with local, state, and central tax regulations.
Review tax computations, challans, and reconciliations before submission.
GST / Indirect Tax ManagementOversee GST compliance including returns, input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation, invoicing, and rate applicability for rooms, F&B, banquets, and other hotel services.
Handle GST audits, notices, assessments, and departmental queries.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct tax treatment on revenue streams.
Direct TaxationManage income tax provisions, advance tax, deferred tax calculations, and annual tax returns.
Support statutory and internal audits related to taxation.
Ensure compliance with transfer pricing or corporate tax requirements, if applicable.
Advisory & Tax PlanningProvide tax advisory to management on new business initiatives, contracts, pricing, and promotional offers.
Identify tax-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws impacting the hospitality sector and advise stakeholders accordingly.
Audit & LiaisonAct as the primary point of contact for tax authorities, auditors, and consultants.
Handle tax assessments, appeals, and litigation support.
Maintain proper documentation and records for all tax-related matters.
Systems & ControlsEnsure accurate tax setup and reporting in hotel PMS, POS, and ERP systems.
Strengthen internal controls related to taxation.
Support finance team in month-end and year-end closing activities from a tax perspective.
Qualifications & ExperienceCA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification.
6–10 years of relevant taxation experience, preferably in hotel, hospitality, or service industry.
Strong working knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
Experience handling audits and tax authorities.
