The Manager's main objective will be to manage all aspects of the Chilean entities. This position will also assist the GERT HQ group located at Marriott's headquarters with accounting information for CALA entities and their effects under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). This position will be based in Chile. The TSA Manager reports directly to the TSA CALA Plantation Director. **CORE ACTIVITIES** Entities in Chile provide centralized services to hotels located in those regions. The TSA Manager will manage these operations, with the following activities: + Administration and safekeeping of accounting information, as well as administrative support to above property associates. + Analyze, record, and file information in accordance with internal accounting systems. + Issuing local invoices and reconciling them with Marriott invoices (Mbill). + Reviewing and approving payroll. + Requesting approval of expenses, their payment, and safeguarding them. + Monthly reconciliation of A&L accounts. + Compliance with MIP-66, as well as sub-certifications requested by Accenture or other HQ teams. + Responding to and following up on requests from HQ from previous years and/or the current year. + Requesting corporate information (COCA invoices, intercompany loans, bank statements, intercompany reimbursement invoices, etc.) and sending it to the local advisor. As well as local information. + Analyzing transactions recorded by HQ to be shared with the local advisor. + Monthly reconciliation of local and corporate accounting books (PeopleSoft). + Working together with the local advisor to ensure timely and orderly financial and tax compliance. + Review of financial statements issued by the local advisor. Support in the development, implementation, and execution of accounting reporting solutions, integration activities, and process improvement. Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of accounting processes. **CANDIDATE PROFILE** **Education and professional certifications** Accountant. **Experience** + More than 6 years of experience in accounting and taxes, including experience with international companies operating in the United States of America, as well as corporate accounting. + Experience in local accounting standards & US GAAP. + Knowledge of tax laws in Chile. + Advanced/intermediate knowledge of Excel. **Personal attributes and skills** + Knowledge of English – good level of reading and writing. + Work with a collaborative mindset within the team. + Excellent interpersonal skills: able to develop and maintain effective relationships with the team. + Effective communication, both oral and written; create an environment that allows for the timely flow of information throughout the organization. + Receptive; able to integrate and balance priorities, work activities, and resources for the benefit of our team. + Able to work independently and as part of a team. + Able to make timely decisions, sometimes with incomplete information and working under pressure. + Able to enhance personal, professional, and business growth through new knowledge and experiences; pushing the organization to learn from the standards and practices of other industries. **Workplace** Chile _Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
