Brookfield’s Data Governance Program was established to create a high-quality single source of truth for fundamental business data across transactions, investments, properties, underwriting metrics, capital pools, and other areas. The Manager of the Data Quality Control (QC) team will be responsible for establishing and leading the QC function in India. This team will ensure compliance with business process flows, review data quality in real time, and document issues in detail with descriptions, root cause analysis, and recommended improvements. Initially, the team will focus on data quality review and compliance monitoring. Over time, as the team develops deeper expertise with the business data, its scope will expand to supporting standardized data entry and enrichment, particularly from unstructured sources such as investment committee memos and financial models. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who is motivated to learn about our business with strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to build and lead a team while partnering with global business stakeholders and contributing to a high-profile enterprise initiative.

Key Responsibilities:
 

· Establish and manage the Data Quality Control team in India, including hiring,training, and scaling the function.

· Review transaction, investment, and property data for compliance with the data model, business process flows, and system requirements.

· Coordinate with global investment professionals to address errors, omissions, and data quality concerns.

· Develop and maintain detailed error/issue logs, including issue descriptions, root cause, and recommendations for process or system enhancements.

· Analyze recurring issues to identify whether they stem from process gaps, technology limitations, or training needs.

· Support system testing and provide structured feedback to technology teams; identify opportunities for automation and improved controls.

· Prepare and present regular reports to Data Governance sponsors on findings, trends, and recommendations.

· Contribute to process improvements and support the phased expansion of the Data Governance Program to additional domains.

· Coach, mentor, and develop the QC team to ensure long-term scalability and sustainability.

Qualifications & Skills:
 

· Undergraduate degree required

· 8-12 years of experience in financial services, data governance, data quality, business process, or related functions; experience in the real estate industry is a strong plus.

· Proven experience in leading or building teams, ideally within a global or matrixed organization.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrated process improvement mindset with a track record of implementing enhancements.

· Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across senior levels and diverse geographies.

· Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive.

· Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams; ability to adapt quickly to new systems and technologies.
