About the role
The IT Contract Governance Manager (Hardware and Services) will oversee the IT Hardware and Services (including IT outsourcing) contracts within the organisation. You will ensure contract value and compliance and supports strategic activity with related IT subject matter experts.
You will understand hardware and service (including IT outsourcing) agreements with excellent written and verbal communications to influence stakeholders. You will own and manage a master database of hardware and service agreements that will be used to oversee contractual compliance and support the optimisation of spend through greater insight and coordination across the Hardware and services contract landscape.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and report on the IT contract landscape for hardware and services, working with contract owners, procurement and finance to develop and manage strategies for value and compliance to optimise value
Create and maintain accurate records of contract compliance and performance (from an oversight perspective). Create reports and analysis to track the view of contract performance status, value realisation, issues and issue resolution
Produce and manage an annual contract management plan in collaboration with internal stakeholders to;
Ensure the timely amendments or renewal activity to avoid disruptions in service and use negotiation, involving Procurement and legal following policy
Record and track planned contractual value drivers / reductors
Collaborate with contract owners to ensure they understand future requirements, enabling the rightsizing of agreements and efficiency of spend including supporting the 3YP process
Where appropriate, and working with procurement and legal to help negotiate terms and pricing, drawing on learnings and strategies employed successfully with other suppliers (in line with WBA policy and governance processes)
Evaluate and improve contract governance processes, recommending improvements to internal stakeholders to enhance efficiency, accuracy and value optimisation
Liaise with IT Purchasing function to ensure purchase orders are raised and invoices processed in an accurate, timely and compliant manner
What you'll need to have
Experience managing and/or governing IT contracts (preferably hardware / services and outsourcing)
Good understanding of IT contractual mechanisms, performance models and compliance requirements
Familiarity with contract language and working with platform and legal teams to manage amendments
A track record of driving value from supplier agreements, including achieving favourable terms and cost efficiencies
Analytical mindset and interpretation of data to identify trends and support decision-making
Growth mindset, seeks challenge and new experiences
Comfortable to lead challenging conversations at senior levels
Able to communicate effectively and hold stakeholders to account in identifying and delivering cost optimisation opportunities
Good understanding of finance and planning processes in IT context
