Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
As an integral part of the European Supply Chain operation the Senior Manager 3PL Management is playing a vital role in the roll-out of new 3PL Distribution Centers while at the same time ensuring best in class service provided by our current 3PL warehouses.
Playing a key to role to manage external warehouse service provider to ensure the achievement of service level and cost targets. Developing and implementing standard KPIs to ensure visibility of performance and partnering with the 3PLs to drive continuous improvements are key elements of this role. Driving regular performance review session with the suppliers as well as acting as a key stakeholder in terms of contract negotiations will support to create a best-in-class 3PL distribution network.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the external logistics service providers for 3PL DCs in daily operations. Work in close collaboration with internal (Order Fulfillment, Customer Fulfillment, Customer Service teams) and external stakeholders (3PLs and carriers) to ensure quality performance required by adidas Planning and reviewing of inbound and outbound volumes in consultation with Fulfillment Planning, Customs team, 3PL and Transport team, considering capacities and priorities given (eg. Peak, Launch, PrePack campaigns, etc) Work in close collaboration with internal (Order Fulfillment, Customer Fulfillment, Customer Service Work as POC for DC service team, including Interface Management teams. Drive improvement processes to gain efficiency in inbound/outbound flows for 3PL DCs including implementation of new operational requirements. Act as an escalation point between 3PL and accountable adidas teams (Outbound and Inbound Transport) for claims, returns and refusals. Site point of escalation for carrier disputes, responsible for management of further escalation with adidas Transport organization. Share requirements of 3PL management team during 3PL/Logistic Projects from an operational perspective plus support IT testing. Support teams proactively with best practice sharing Understand basic terms and conditions of 3PL contracts including appendices. Support overall SCM and 3PL management strategy execution. Lead and develop a team of experts to ensure seamless processes and create a growth mindset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Fluent in English and Italian (will be an advantage) Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), knowledge of SAP AFS and WMS functions will be an advantage Profound knowledge on warehousing and logistics processes Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal/external business partners Strong analytical skills and end-to-end logistics / supply chain mindset Reliable working style with a high sense of accountability Highly results driven and self-motivated team player Project Management experience (nice to have)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
College or university degree with a focus on Transport/Logistics/Supply Chain preferred; alternatively equivalent combination of education and related work experience in the field of Logistics Min. 5 years progressive working experience within Transport/Logistics/Supply Chain
