Built in 1992, the Kent Flexible Plant was the company’s first manufacturing facility and is located just 13 miles from the Starbucks Support Center (headquarters) in Seattle. Today, it primarily roasts and packages coffee and is the only Starbucks location that manufactures Teavana tea. Partner Resources (PRO) is a unique and pivotal role at Starbucks. The **manager – Partner Resources** contributes to the success of Starbucks by acting as a strategic business partner, coach and advocate for all partners and plays a leadership role cross functionally and with the Partner Resources Business community. Partner Resources (PRO) is a unique and pivotal role at Starbucks. Responsible for leading and executing all aspects of the People Plan to include talent attraction, development and engagement and supporting the company Partner Resources strategy for assigned business units.
Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
+ Identifies opportunities and creates team performance strategy by assessing team dynamics; builds team capability and consults on strategies to build high-performing teams.
+ Applies thorough understanding of client functional work and relevant business operations to balance Partner Resources and business priorities with executing key Partner Resources strategies and initiatives.
+ Enables talent effectiveness by coaching leaders and professionals using growth mindset principles and partners with leaders to address performance concerns with urgency.
+ Leads the successful implementation of all PRO-related programs, initiatives, and priorities
+ Responsible to hire, train and develop direct reports.
+ Assesses team needs and analyzes relevant qualitative and quantitative data and insights to provide recommendations for strategic alignment within teams that drive partner engagement and retention
+ Acts as an up-to-date HR expert to influence leaders, guide teams, and reduce risk
+ Routinely gains insights and feedback through shoulder-to-shoulder work through venues such as skip levels, team meetings and roundtables, and appropriately addresses opportunities with immediacy.
+ Develops and leads a holistic talent plan so leaders have a clear talent plan focused on talent management, succession planning, building, and developing talent, and identifying strategies for closing capability gaps.
+ Ensures appropriate escalation, decision making, partner care, and risk mitigation related to partner care, crisis management, partner relations and labor relations matters.
We’d love to hear from people with:
+ 6+ years human resources experience: Increasingly responsible human resources generalist experience including consulting with leadership in the design, development and execution of human resources strategies and practices including staffing, learning and development, success planning and performance management.
+ Experience in matrixed, fast paced, global and rapidly changing business environment.
+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
+ Working knowledge of applicable employment laws, policies and procedures.
+ Ability to mediate conflict and conduct investigations.
+ Knowledge of the principles of practices of labor relations, conflict resolution and human resources management and administration.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
