**Description** **The Best Teams are Created and Maintained Here.** **Job Summary** + The Yard Shop Manager is responsible for leading mechanics in performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of small engines. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Oversee, manage and lead laborers in the following activities: + Perform information and reports on equipment. + Sharpen blades. + Ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times. + Transfer equipment to other local branches. + Maintaining the shop to be clean and orderly. **Education and Experience:** + Minimum of 3 years’ experience in equipment operating and maintenance + Supervisory experience preferred. + Valid Driver’s license is required. **Physical Demands/Requirements:** + Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.) + Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day **Work Environment:** + This role works in an outdoor work environment. Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic + Work near or about natural bodies of water + Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required) + Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time - Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
